Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 1, 2026
ZoMath (“we”, “us”) helps students learn Algebra, Precalculus and Calculus. This policy explains what information we collect when you use ZoMath, why, and the choices you have. We wrote it to be easy to read.
The short version
- We collect only what we need to run your account and save your progress.
- We never sell your information and we don't show ads.
- We never see your password.
- You can download or delete your data at any time from your Profile.
- ZoMath accounts are for people 13 and older.
Information we collect
When you create an account
- Your name (the name you want us to call you).
- How you sign in: your email address, your phone number, or the account you chose (Google or Apple), plus the ID that service gives us.
- Age confirmation: we ask for your birth month and year only to confirm you are 13 or older. We store a “13 or older: yes” note, not your birthday.
- Your agreement to these terms and the date you agreed.
- Account type: whether you signed up with a school email.
When you learn
- Your progress: which lesson steps (videos, quizzes, examples, practice) you've completed.
Automatically
- Our sign-in provider processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to keep accounts secure and prevent abuse.
- Your browser stores your day/night theme choice and a local copy of your progress. These stay on your device.
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't use third-party analytics.
How we use it
- To create and secure your account and let you sign in.
- To save your progress and show it on any device you use.
- To send account emails, such as verifying your email address or resetting your password.
- To keep ZoMath safe and working, and to follow the law.
Who helps us run ZoMath
We use a few trusted services to operate ZoMath. They process information only to provide their service to us:
- Google Firebase handles sign-in and stores account and progress data.
- Cloudflare hosts the website.
- Google, Apple and your mobile carrier take part in sign-in if you choose those options.
- Google Fonts provides the website's fonts.
- YouTube hosts lesson videos. Videos use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, but YouTube may store information when you play one.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
Children under 13
ZoMath accounts are only for people 13 and older. If someone under 13 tries to sign up, we stop the sign-up and don't keep their information. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
How long we keep information
We keep your account information and progress while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your profile and progress right away, and your sign-in is removed from our sign-in provider.
Your choices and rights
- See and download your data: Profile → Your data → Download.
- Change your name: Profile → Account.
- Delete your account and data: Profile → Delete account.
- Depending on where you live, you may have other rights. Contact us to use them.
Keeping your information safe
Passwords are handled and securely stored by our sign-in provider; ZoMath never sees or stores them. All data travels over encrypted connections, and our database only lets each person read and change their own information.
Changes to this policy
If we make important changes, we'll update the date above and let you know in the app before they take effect.
